I hereby request and demand de-regulation for my incorporated uterus! Legislators, stay out of my private parts, please. You don’t see me sitting in on your doctor’s appointments making decisions about your health for you, so I respectfully request that you stay away from mine. And if you decline to do so, respectfully or otherwise, you can also expect to lose your job next election. The people whom you purport to represent but whom you instead kick to the curb in service to your hypocritical, irresponsible, and oppressive agenda will demand it.

Talk about invasion of privacy. When are the men going to be required to attend the “sonogram screening”? I believe the fetus gene pool is 50-50. I NEVER see any responsibilities tied to the Dads…..if one can be so inaccurate as to refer to them that way. When men step up and take their share of responsibiity, the discussion can be different. Until then, we women have “to choose”.
I think we need to turn the tables – and see the men run and yell, “Against my rights”…. When a man becomes “of age”, require them to freeze their sperm for future use upon marriage, then they must undergo a mandatory vasectomy. Then no worries about abortion. What’s “good” for the goose should be good for the gander… right ladies?

still I will say, I see no one dragging women to so called abortion clinics forcing them to have abortions. They have the right to choose, to have a child or not. No one can force them to do so to abort a Wanted pregnancy.
BUT
I have seen women dragged screaming from so called abortion clinics and being forced to carry an unwanted fetus to term left with no choice but have a unwanted un loved child! Or dragged from a buring fire bombed “abortion clinics” Thats is actually a OB/GYN clinic serving both types of instances. CHOICE means you actually choose to do somthing. is the government implying that women are unable to make a choice for themselves? That we are too stupid to make an informed well thought out decision? That the fact that we were born with a uterus and ovaries instead of a penis and testies, automatically means that we ca’not own or maintain the body we have? If this is so then we need to make sure that There will be a very few men allowed to sit in seats of ower because they have forgotten that a woman brought them into the world. that a woman bled cried and carried him in her body. and that he will forever carry that piece or feminine power with him in his navel the last piece of his mother attached to him. By not letter her own her body he no longer owns his ,she does. Without her he would not exisist. Because men leave no mark on the children they father but a mothers mark is forever. a woman cannot deney mother hood her body and the childs bare the mark for life.
So Stay out of my Uterus or i am going to take up house in your testies. You definately wont want that cause once a month i have a need to use testies as a punching bag!
What’s the word I’m looking for? Hmm. Oh yeah – “misandrist”.

Mate, from one guy to another, you are way out of line. These women’s responses seem to me very reasonably calibrated to the extraordinary assault on women’s rights which is currently underway in the legislatures of the US (see also Indiana etc). You want to help? Stop sitting on the fence in the “other” camp and start being a real man. And for the avoidacnce of doubt, real men are feminists.
@ RDS, Now THAT’S what I’m talking about. Real men love women. Really love them, not just like to look at them or sue them, really love women. Because they are not threatened by them and would be ashamed to threaten women. Real men stand with us, not on the fence feeling guilty, or in the opposition spouting threats and insults. I love your website and mission…but my health care provider is a nurse practitioner and a nurse midwive…the website “betweenmeandmyMD” doesn’t reflect these licensed and competent women’s health care professionals.
Thank you, Diana! Hear, hear! I AM a nurse-midwife and I’d like to see the name reflect the fact that women seek out midwives for health care and advice for pregnancy whether the intention is to continue to term or not.
I put ‘and other care professionals’ in the email I sent off for that reason. This is absolutely appalling! I already have limited choices for future pregnancies (HBAC or repeat cesarean for my area, hoping for successful HBAC whenever I go for #2) having 1 c-section and being at risk for another premature birth, and now I have to defend the right to make my own medical decisions too?! Makes me want to live in some other country, except I don’t think there’s anywhere else that isn’t as screwed as the US at the moment! Please do NOT go through with this legislature, or I will also work to make sure you are FIRED come next election!
I applaud your effective communication by framing this in the jargon of corporate favoritism. I would like to point out that the Republican opposition to the individual’s innate right to control their own reproductive organs is not only men vs. women. The authors of oppression are not all men and it is not only directed at women. Brothers, fathers, husbands, boyfriends, sons suffer when their family circle is intruded upon by government. Men & women cannot give birth to every egg and sperm they are endowed with, so a government imposition to demand the birth of the first egg is automatically terminating the next in line that might have been the chosen one. We cannot allow the government to usurp this fundamental decision. Republicans arrogantly accept the possibility of countless teenage deaths that happen when illegal abortions are the only alternative, as if our own young girls are acceptable collateral damage. It is shocking. The American Taliban must be recognized for what they are and stopped.
