Businesses get special treatment these days. If lawmakers and other politicians see your uterus and your body as a business, maybe they’ll work to get government out of the uterus regulation business as they do for every other company

  1. Ok, this is all 12 kinds of awesome.

Encourage every woman in your life to register. See how they respond to Uterus, Inc.

OK, so when (where and how) do we get ‘Incorporate My Uterus’ bumper stickers??? This is WONDERFUL!

    • Yes! Bumper Stickers PLEASE!

    • I created a bumper sticker online…

      $2.99 each…

lemme know about the legality of using the websites logo…

It was just a quick creation, I didn’t see any response from the site owner so I just jumped on it… just wanted a sticker too… found out I could make one in a flash, so I did.

Looks like its just a create and sell site, buying direct from “BuildASign.com.

If I have overstepped, please ignore me.

  3. I’ve been through menopause…oh wait, can I say THAT word???…but I still second the bumper sticker request. And, oh yes, since businesses get such perks and women get vilified and regulated, I want to incorporate my uterus too! Yes, I still have one, and, according to medical science I could still carry a child. So, bring it on, as a woman I’m tired of being a second-class citizen!

  4. And tee shirts, please! My uterus, my business!!! This is brilliant – thank you ACLU!

  5. Stephanie

Can I incorportate even if I don’t live in Florida?

  6. So, if I incorporate my uterus does that mean I get all kinds of tax loopholes? bumper stickers and banners please and thank you. GREAT IDEA!!!!!

    Yes!

Interfering with my right to choose an abortion becomes ‘restraint of trade’.

Costs of involuntary purchase of pre-natal care for Citizen Fetus become a business expense, as well an unfunded mandate.

  8. I support this effort. However, there are people who have a uterus who do not identify as women. Those people are still harmed by the restrictions on reproductive rights, for instance a trans man who is raped and becomes pregnant as a result but cannot obtain an abortion because of his state’s restrictions (and all the other factors we know about that limit access).

So, I like what you’re doing, but I just wanted to say that right now some parts of the site are phrased in such a way as to erase the existence of people who have uteri but who are not women. It would be pretty easy to fix the wording, and I hope that you would consider doing so in order to be more inclusive. Thanks!

    • The site welcomes all Uterati to voice their opinions – after all, each one of us came from a uterus. Any individual who wants to tell the Florida Legislature to stay out of personal medical decisions should join – no matter what your gender or gender identification.

  9. Don’t take everything so seriously ;)

  10. I’am all for bumper stickers. I have posted on both Facebook & Twitter. Would like to see this go viral. I wonder why the Rethugs (who love war), began this war on women’s bodies!

  11. Debby’s Uterus, Inc.
    Take THAT you self-righteous bastards.

  12. Can my uterus get corporate welfare once incorporated? It would like money for a big development project but needs millions of dollars in government subsidies.

  13. Joy Romanski

JoyUtero, Inc. looks forward to availing itself of the protections afforded corporations under Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, 130 S. Ct. 876 (2010). Stay tuned for more!

Uterus of Lara, Inc. EAGERLY awaits word from Compliance on these matters.

Our brilliant folks in communications (Rachel Maddow said “genius”) are continuing to add content this site, which welcomes all Uterati to voice their opinions – after all, each one of us came from a uterus. Any individual who wants to tell the Florida Legislature to stay out of their personal medical decisions should join – no matter what your gender or gender identification.

  15. Terry Harpold

I don’t have a uterus — I’m one of those humans with somewhat different reproductive bits. (Can I say “testicles” on the floor of the Florida House of Representatives?) But I dearly love me some folks who do have a uterus. And think that they, and everyone else who has a uterus, should be in complete control of theirs. You print some tee shirts, and I’ll proudly wear one.

  16. My new Uterine Corp is Hammy’s Woo Woo, Inc. Only one shareholder thus far.

  17. Ok. Nice marketing, but legally cannot be done, unless of course you wish to make yourself a prostitute. A corporation is a business entity established for liability purposes, and some say, tax purposes.

If you’re going to use your uterus a business entity, then there are a limited number of things you would be using it FOR, so you figure out what that makes you, besides the fact a body part cannot be a legal entity.

I’m all for government staying out of the decisions of women and their bodies. While I do not agree with abortion, that is my personal opinion. The whole debate over abortion and free choice was always a two-pronged issue anyway, so it cannot be solved with one solution or decree.

    • Honey you are missing the point.

This has to do with a FL representative saying if his wife incorporated her uterus then then GOP would care about her. Implying that the GOP cares more about corporations than women. Which of course prompted the GOP to declare you couldn’t say uterus on the floor as it would scar the pages.

  18. Proud to be part of the uterati if only by proxy, not owning (sorry, “psossessing”) one myself.

I want to incorporate my mind – how does one do that?

  20. “The Lion’s Lower Den” is now incorporated. ;)

  21. My body belongs to me. The Supreme Court has affirmed this.

So why can they order me to buy way more health insurance than I need and turn my medical records over to the government’s electronic system?

    • insurance protects you from things you don’t know you’ll need. the more people who buy it, the better it works.

  23. Can I incorporate my body so President Obama and other Democrats will stay the heck out of my way when it comes to MY healthcare? Does this creators of this site support the ‘Affordable Care Act’, and if they do, wouldn’t that be hypocritical?

    • Matt -

You might want to learn what the Affordable Care Act does before you claim it is an intrusion in your life. If you already have health insurance, you can keep the same plan. And if you don’t (and you’re a small business owner or someone else who qualifies), you can buy a plan in the new health insurance exchanges, where it is your choice whether you want to buy from a private insurance company or choose the new public option.

I really don’t understand how that constitutes an intrusion on your body.

      Good day to you sir.

  24. Do I get non-profit status, since I’m already “fixed”?

  25. My husband and I have just published a book, “Choice Matters” and deal with this important subject in depth. Check out http://www.gerhardtbooks.com Power to the “Uterati”

  26. Does my uterus have to shut down on federal holidays?

  27. Leslie Peeryq

Too funny! I love it! I think a bumpersticker would be awsome! Keep up the good work!

  28. Llyn French

Ever heard of “Lysistrata”? There are more than one end to the means. Maybe if these men weren’t getting any, they’d think again…and last I heard, rape is still illegal.

  29. I feel so left out, I wanna incorporate something! This is great!

  30. Attention Republicans:

    Stay out of my womb!!!!

  31. IF the government wants control over my uterus…let ‘em have it. I mean literally… Let THEM have the miserable week of hemorraging and cramping and bitching and crying. IF THEY don’t want those issues every three weeks, then they can Kiss my uterus as it becomes “Nina’s House of Hot Flashes, Inc.” Hope they like it.

  32. I have incorporated as My Uterus not Ur Uterus
Sent to me by my daughter, and I agree . Florida is becoming a “No Right To Live” State
