Apple Slashes Siri Settlement Approval Date, Potential Payouts Could Rise

Apple is accelerating the timeline for a $250 million class-action settlement related to delays in the rollout of Siri’s artificial intelligence features. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California has moved the final court approval date forward from September 29, 2027, to February 24, 2027 – approximately six months earlier than initially anticipated.

iPhone Owners Could Receive Up to $95 Per Device

Eligible iPhone owners who purchased a device between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, could receive between $25 and $95 per iPhone, depending on the number of verified claims submitted to the court. Models covered include the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

How the Settlement Works

Apple will notify eligible customers via email and mail, with notices expected by August 31, 2026. Even those who haven’t previously shared contact information with Apple can still submit a claim through the official settlement website once it launches, requiring the iPhone’s serial number.
