Wired charging jumps from 25 W to 45 W, the same spec the company once reserved for its slab flagships. Translation: 30 minutes on the brick, not 55, gets you past 60 %.

The real flex sits under the ultra-thin glass. Samsung has finished qualifying a new OLED stack whose folding radius is tighter than a hairpin; testers saw no valley shadow after 200 000 cycles. If it ships, the Fold 8 becomes the first western-market foldable to erase the valley that still haunts Oppo’s Find N6 and Apple’s first-gen foldable mules.

Chip bump is routine—Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, 12 GB RAM, UFS 4.1—but the battery and panel upgrades are the kind of pragmatic steps Samsung avoided for three generations.
