Realme 16 pro+ sneaks flagship cameras into a €479 pocket

One-handed, 203 g, under 450 euros, and yet the 16 Pro+ packs a 200 MP Samsung HP5 sensor and a 3.5× optical periscope that can crop to 200×. Realme just moved the mid-field goalposts.

Design that slips into january without a bulge

Night mode is the only traitor

Point the periscope at a neon sign after midnight and the algorithm overexposes by a full stop; street lamps bleed into halos. But daylight is a different story. The 50 MP JN5 telephoto nails textile threads at 10×, and the main sensor bins sixteen pixels into one, delivering 12.5 MP files with flagship-level dynamic range. Macro? Skip it—focus hunts like a drunk tourist.

At 479 euros the 8/256 GB trim undercuts last year’s Pixel 7a by 70 euros while offering double the storage and a 3.5× lens Google never hid in its pocket. Realmi UI 7.0, skinned over Android 16, ships without bloatware and promises three OS upgrades.
