Samsung has rolled out the highly anticipated AirDrop update for the Galaxy S26 series in the US, allowing users to easily share files with iPhone devices.

Samsung first announced AirDrop support for the Galaxy S26 series in March, with South Korea being the initial launch market. Once you install the firmware update, a new 'Share with Apple devices' toggle will appear in your Quick Share settings. Additionally, you'll need Google Play Services version 26.11.XX or newer for the feature to work properly.

With AirDrop now available on the Galaxy S26 series, users can transfer files to and from iPhones, iPads, and Macs with ease, just as they would between two iPhones.

This marks a significant step forward in bridging the gap between Android and iOS ecosystems. While Samsung has yet to confirm when AirDrop support will be rolled out to older Galaxy devices, the company has stated it intends to bring the feature to more phones in the future.
