Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 series is generating buzz with early leaks, showcasing detailed renders of both the base model and the redesigned Galaxy S27 Ultra. However, new renders of the Galaxy S27 Pro have raised eyebrows, suggesting a strikingly similar design to the Ultra, including its controversial camera island.

Design Echoes iPhone 17 Pro

The S27 Pro’s aesthetic appears heavily influenced by the camera plateau seen on the iPhone 17 Pro. Sources, including OnLeaks and Android Headlines, indicate the Pro model may also feature a triple main camera configuration, mirroring the Ultra’s setup. Camera specifications are widely expected to be identical between the two devices.

Key Differences: S Pen and Screen Size

Despite the shared design language, some distinctions are emerging. Notably, the S27 Pro will reportedly forgo the S Pen stylus, a feature likely reserved for the Ultra. Furthermore, the Pro model is anticipated to sport a slightly smaller display, estimated at around 6.6 inches diagonally, compared to the Ultra’s expected 6.9-inch screen. The devices are also expected to share a 7.97mm thickness, with the Pro being the smaller of the two.

Controversial Design Concerns

These renders have disappointed some, as they echo the design choices of the Ultra, which has faced criticism. The camera island, in particular, remains a point of contention. Samsung appears to be doubling down on its new design direction for next year’s flagship series.
