Samsung's the mind guardian detects cognitive decline with 97% accuracy

Samsung's video game, The Mind Guardian, has made significant strides in detecting early signs of cognitive decline, Alzheimer's, and dementia. Developed in Spain, the AI-powered game uses patterns to identify potential issues with 97% precision. Launched a year ago, it has already conducted over 5,000 tests, detecting a 5% risk in some cases.

Samsung committed to cognitive health

As part of its 14-year 'Technology with Purpose' initiative in Spain, Samsung is dedicated to improving brain health and early detection. The company emphasizes prevention, urging players to adopt healthy habits like better sleep, exercise, and social engagement to combat cognitive decline.

According to the Spanish Neurology Society, over 50% of the population neglects key habits for brain health, and up to 40% of Alzheimer's cases could be prevented through such measures.

The Mind Guardian, accessible on Android tablets, consists of three 45-minute missions exploring memory through scientifically validated tests. Developed in collaboration with the University of Vigo and AFAGA, it aims to make early detection more accessible.
