Sony ult field 3: a sub-$143 bluetooth speaker deal you can’t miss
The hum of server rooms and the scent of soldering iron – that’s my baseline. I’m Charlotte Gibson, Senior Editor at TechBloom, and I don’t chase trends, I dissect them. Right now, Amazon’s slapping a hefty 32% discount on the Sony ULT Field 3, dropping the price below $143. Frankly, it’s a steal.
Punchy bass, surprisingly robust
Let’s be blunt: for less than $143, you’re getting a speaker that packs a serious punch. Don’t expect a room-filling behemoth, but it delivers surprisingly loud and clear audio – perfect for smaller gatherings. And if you need a little more oomph for a larger group, the ‘Party Connect’ feature allows seamless pairing with other Sony speakers. It’s a surprisingly practical implementation.
The IP67 rating is a solid reassurance; this thing can handle dust, rain, and even a brief submersion – think sand on a beach trip, or a sudden summer shower. It’s built to endure, a welcome change from the disposable tech we’re so accustomed to. A shoulder strap adds to the portability, too.
Battery life & quick charge
But the details matter. The 24-hour battery life is genuinely impressive, and the 10-minute quick charge provides a significant boost – an extra two hours of playback. And, surprisingly, it doubles as a power bank, allowing you to top up your phone on the go. A genuinely useful feature, and one often overlooked.
Tweaking the sound
Now, no speaker is perfect. Crank it up, and you’ll notice a slight compression in the audio, particularly with vocals. The ‘ULT’ mode dramatically amplifies the bass, but switching it off noticeably reduces the low-end presence. Thankfully, the 7-band EQ in the Sony Sound Connect app allows for granular control, letting you tailor the audio to your personal preference. It’s a thoughtful touch.
Despite these minor caveats, at nearly $143, the Sony ULT Field 3 represents exceptional value. It's a practical, durable, and surprisingly capable Bluetooth speaker. Don't hesitate; this deal won't last.
