Unlock the power of mobile tax filing with cl@ve
The wait is over for a more convenient and secure way to submit your tax returns. Starting April 8, 2025, the Spanish tax authorities have introduced a mobile app called Cl@ve, designed to simplify the process of filing your 2025-2026 tax declaration.
How to get started with cl@ve on your mobile device
To begin, ensure you have the Cl@ve app installed on your Android or iPhone. If not, download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, respectively.
Once installed, open the app, agree to the terms and conditions, and enter your DNI or NIE, along with other required personal details. Activate the app using a verification code sent via SMS, a digital certificate, or your electronic ID card, if available.
With Cl@ve now activated, you'll be able to use it as your identification method on the Hacienda website. This will grant you access to view the draft tax declaration, input missing information, review your submission, and finally, present it.
Important tip: never share your SMS verification code or let others see your mobile screen during the identification process. It's best to complete this step in the comfort of your own home.

Presenting your tax declaration using cl@ve on mobile
When the time comes to submit your 2025 tax declaration, open the Hacienda website in your mobile browser (not a third-party app). Select the 'Identify with Cl@ve mobile' option, and the page will generate a QR code and prompt an authentication request.
Open the Cl@ve app, scan the code, or confirm the notification, and with a single tap, electronically sign the transaction. You'll then be able to access and edit your tax declaration draft, review the details, and submit it all within the mobile browser.
Cl@ve offers more than just tax filing convenience. You can also use the app to activate or deactivate your device, check and modify personal data, and manage your Permanent Key, which can be used for other administrative tasks without reactivating your mobile each time.
